Please read this disclosurecarefully. Trading involves substantial risk and is not appropriate foreveryone. By accepting this disclosure you confirm that you understand therisks described below.
Buying and selling securities, futures, options, cryptocurrency, foreign exchange, and other financialinstruments involves substantial risk of loss. You can lose some or all ofthe money you invest, and trading is not suitable for all investors. Youshould not trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Before trading, youshould carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, andrisk appetite, and you should consult an independent financial advisor whereappropriate.
No representation is being made thatany account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to thosediscussed, displayed, simulated, or generated on the Qompyl platform. Pastperformance — whether actual, simulated, or hypothetical — is not indicative ofand does not guarantee future or live results. Markets are dynamic and theconditions that produced past results may not recur.
The Qompyl platform usesartificial-intelligence and large-language-model features to suggest tradingstrategies, generate condition blocks, interpret backtest results, and produceother text. Any AI Output is provided for informational and educationalpurposes only. AI Output is not investment advice, a recommendation to buyor sell any security or other instrument, a solicitation, or a personalizedfinancial opinion. AI Output does not consider your individual financialsituation, investment objectives, risk tolerance, tax position, or otherpersonal circumstances. AI Output does not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation of any specific financial instrument or strategyby Qompyl.
• Qompyl is not a registeredinvestment advisor, broker-dealer, futures commission merchant, swap dealer, orfinancial institution.
• AI Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, internally inconsistent, or out of date. Models can produceconfident-sounding statements that are factually wrong.
• Following an AI-suggested strategy isyour own decision. You alone are responsible for evaluating whether anystrategy is appropriate for you and for any orders you place.
Backtests, paper-trading simulations, and other historical or hypothetical performance figures presented by theService have inherent limitations that materially affect their predictivevalue. These include but are not limited to:
• Survivorship bias — historical universes may exclude tickers that weredelisted, merged, or went bankrupt, overstating average returns of a backtesteduniverse.
• Look-ahead bias — strategies designed using information that was notactually available at the time of a simulated trade.
• Optimization (curve-fitting) bias — strategies tuned on historical data may match noiserather than a real edge, and live performance can degrade sharply.
• Transaction costs and slippage — commissions, exchange fees, market impact, and thedifference between expected and actual fill price may not be fully reflected ina backtest’s assumptions.
• Taxes — taxes applicable to your jurisdiction and account typeare not modeled.
• Liquidity assumptions — backtests typically assume orders fill at thesimulated price; in live markets, large or thinly traded orders may not.
• Corporate actions — splits, dividends, mergers, and special distributionsmay not be modeled with full fidelity.
• Data quality — historical data may include errors, gaps, orrevisions.
• Historical-data scope — a backtest can only reflect the period, instruments, market regimes, and conditions captured in the historical record. It cannotanticipate regime changes, novel events, or instruments that fall outside thatrecord, and recent or thinly traded instruments may have insufficient historyfor meaningful evaluation.
No backtest result, regardless of howfavorable, should be interpreted as a guarantee or even a likelihood of anyparticular live outcome.
